2

What is the interquartile range (IQR) for the data set?

3

What is the mean of the data set?

4

What is the population variance for this data set?

5

What is the sample variance for this data set?

6

What is the population standard deviation (approx)?

7

What is the sample standard deviation (approx)?

8

What is Q1 (first quartile) for this data set?

9

What is Q3 (third quartile) for this data set?

10

What is the dataset median?

Feedback

Range = max − min = 20 − 3 = 17.

Q1 is 7 and Q3 is 16, so IQR = 16 − 7 = 9.

Total sum is 121; 121 ÷ 11 = 11.

Population variance = sum of squared deviations / 11 = 286/11 = 26.

Sample variance = 286/10 = 28.6 (n−1 in denominator).

SD = sqrt(26) ≈ 5.10.

SD = sqrt(28.6) ≈ 5.35.

Q1 is the median of the lower half: 3,5,7,8,8 → 7.

Q3 is the median of the upper half: 13,15,16,16,20 → 16.

With 11 values, the 6th value is the median: 10.
