جمع دو رقم یک رقمی نتیجه‌ای بین 0 تا 18 می‌دهد. 2+3=5 است.

برای جمع 7 با 1، یکی به مقدار 7 اضافه می‌کنیم و عدد می‌گیرد 8.

هر عدد با 0 جمع شود همان عدد باقی می‌ماند. 9+0=9.

جمع 4 و 5 برابر با 9 است.

3+6 همان 9 است.

یک واحد را با هفت واحد اضافه می‌کنیم: 8 می‌شود.

جمع با صفر همان عدد اصلی است. 0+5=5.

جمع 8 و 2 برابر با 10 است.

جمع 5 و 3 برابر با 8 است.

دو عدد کوچک جمع می‌شود: 2+4=6.
