6

Water that flows over land into rivers and streams is called?

7

Which stage involves water gathering in rivers, lakes, and oceans?

8

What mainly drives evaporation in the water cycle?

9

Which process cools air and leads to cloud formation?

10

Which factor most increases the rate of evaporation?

Feedback

Evaporation is liquid to gas due to heat. Condensation is gas to liquid, Precipitation is rain/snow, Infiltration is water seeping into soil.

Condensation is gas to liquid forming droplets; evaporation is liquid to gas, precipitation is water falling, transpiration is plant moisture release.

Precipitation includes rain, snow, sleet, hail reaching the surface.

Transpiration is plant water loss from leaves; evaporation is from surfaces, condensation is cloud formation.

Infiltration is water entering soil. Runoff is surface flow, collection is gathering water, precipitation is atmospheric.

Runoff travels across the surface; infiltration goes into soil, condensation cools vapor, evaporation rises to air.

Collection is gathering bodies of water; evaporation leaves the surface, transpiration is plant loss, condensation forms clouds.

Sunlight heat causes evaporation; wind aids it, but sun is the primary driver.

Condensation releases heat and forms droplets; evaporation is opposite, precipitation falls as rain.

Higher temperature speeds molecular movement; lower temp slows it, humidity reduces evaporation.
