Explicación

La TB es causada por M. tuberculosis, una bacteria; no es viral, autoinmune ni un hongo.

La TB latente no suele contagiar; la activa sí puede contagiar y presenta síntomas.

La TB se transmite por inhalación de aerosoles. No es por sangre, leche o alimentos.

La tos persistente y el esputo pueden incluir sangre; otros síntomas no son característicos.

Se usan PPD/IGRA y RX de tórax; no son pruebas primarias para TB.

El régimen RIPE es el estándar para TB sensible; otros son fármacos no usados.

MDR-TB es resistente a dos fármacos clave: rifampicina e isoniacida.

La BCG reduce TB severa en niños; no elimina TB en adultos ni cura en corto plazo.

Los grupos de alto riesgo incluyen VIH, contactos y población de zonas endémicas.

La TB latente no presenta síntomas y no suele contagiar; activa sí contagia.
