Coesão é a ligação entre partes do texto por meio de elementos linguísticos.

A coesão lexical usa repetições, sinônimos, elipses e anáforas para manter o vínculo.

Conjunções, pronomes e equivalentes criam pontes entre partes do enunciado.

Anáforas retomam informações previamente citadas para manter a coesão.

Substituição substitui termos por seus equivalentes, mantendo o sentido.

Elipse não repete tudo, supre com o contexto e conhecimento do leitor.

Conectivos (e, mas, portanto) organizam a coerência entre segmentos.

Coesão cuida da forma; coerência do conteúdo e sentido geral.
