Explicación

Cada IP identifica de forma única a un host en una red para el enrutamiento.

La máscara de subred delimita la parte de red y la de host en IPv4.

El gateway sirve para salir de la red local hacia otras redes.

Rangos privados comunes: 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16/12, 192.168/16.

CIDR indica cuántos bits componen la red (p. ej. /24).

Con /24, los primeros 24 bits son la red; termina en .0 para la red.

Las IPs públicas son routables en Internet; privadas no.

El protocolo IP es el principal de la capa de red para enrutar entre redes.
