El interés simple se calcula sobre el capital inicial durante todo el periodo.

r es la tasa de interés por periodo expresada en decimal.

En interés simple, M = P + I y I = Prt, por ello M = P(1 + rt).

I = 1000×0.05×2 = 100; M = 1100. Si la respuesta correcta es 1050, verificar: pregunta mal planteada; asume rt=0.1; corregir: M=1000(1+0.1)=1100.
