ADVERBS

by Saira Asencio
1

The new emotions of Ennui, Envy, Embarrassment, and Anxiety may be EXTREMELY negative at first.

2

Ennui speaks monotonously in Headquarters and RARELY shows interest in anything.

3

Ennui keeps Riley EMOTIONALLY distant from her original emotions to prevent her from feeling uncomfortable.

4

Envy OFTEN makes Riley focus elsewhere on what she lacks, especially when she compares herself with others.

5

Embarrassment quietly tries to protect Riley THERE because he simply wants what is best for her.

6

Although Nostalgia says she is not needed YET, she is extremely important to Riley's emotional life.

7

Like the other emotions, Sadness ALWAYS protects Riley carefully from difficult situations.

8

While Joy is still the leader, she remains TEMPORARLY trapped inside Headquarters when Anxiety takes control.

9

Joy could have EASYLY become a toxic emotion, but she ultimately learns to manage Riley's emotions better.

10

Shortly afterward, Anxiety takes control of Headquarters and suppresses Riley's original emotionsCOMPLETELY.

11

Riley's new Sense of Self forms ENTIRELY from Anxiety's emotions, there in Headquarters, to make Riley feel more confident.

12

Anxiety nervously insists that she will go away eventually, while the other emotions INCREASILY become concerned.

13

Joy, Disgust, Anger, and Fear finally reach the back of Riley's mind and carefully climb the mountain of abandoned memories TO FIND THEIR WAY BACK.

14

The control panel willingly calls Joy back TO MAKE RILEY HAPPY.
