Explicación

Los glaciares se forman por acumulación de nieve que se compacta en hielo, no por roca ni lluvia.

La baja temperatura y la acumulación de nieve en altitudes altas permiten su formación.

El hielo se desplaza por reproducido flujo interno y deslizamiento basal.

Las morrenas son acumulaciones de roca y sedimento arrastrados por el glaciar.

Las crevasses son fallas o grietas causadas por el flujo diferencial del hielo.

La retirada es cuando la terminación avanza hacia el interior o retrocede.
