El rápido ritmo del cambio climático, combinado con una explosión poblacional en el siglo pasado, la pérdida de hábitats y la contaminación química y de otros tipos, está causando desequilibrios ecológicos y empujando a cada vez más especies al borde de la extinción, dice el experto en cambio climático y ecosistemas de ONU Medio Ambiente, Nickas Hagelberg.
